Porsche’s production program to 2014
Monday, August 16th, 2010With the release of the new Porsche 911 will start a new period for the company during which we will see a series of new models.
Here’s what the plans of the producers of sports cars from Stuttgart for the next four years.
2011
Next year we will see in the Panamera hybrid and diesel version. “Green” versions of the coupe with 4 doors are designed to improve the company’s market share in this segment with a diesel car in Europe and the hybrid in the U.S..
Next year will see and “hot” version of the current generation of Cayman. The car will not increase much with power but will reduce its weight. There will be a revised suspension. Next year should see and upgraded versions of the 911 Carrera / Carrera S.
2012
This is the year of great change. Comes a new generation Boxster / Cayman. Roadster popular and less popular version with the hard top will be assembled on a new, extended platform and offer more volume and the cabin baggage.
Production will move from Valmet, Finland Zufenhauzen in Germany. In the same year will see renewed and 911 Cabriolet; 911 Carrera 4/Carrera 4S; 911 Turbo.
2013
Changes continue in series production will be the new small model, which will start modeling line of Porsche - Baby Boxster.
The car will be produced on the platform of the VW BlueSport. The expected price is around 35-36 thousand euros.
The other big news in 2013 will be a new model GT, which will be produced based on the Panamera. The car will be a front engine V8.
This year is expected to facelift Panamera; 911 Targa and 911 GT3/GT3 RS; and Cayenne Turbo S
2014
This year Porsche will present a modernized model SUV Cayenne, that car will be sold in the second half of the decade. Besides minor changes in appearance, we expect greater efficiency and reduced its own weight.
In 2014 we expect production version of the 918 Spyder. Hybrid Porsche will reach mass production, it would have cost around half a million euros.
