In Italy the allowed maximum speed is 150 km/h

The Italian government adopted an amendment to the Law on Road Traffic, with effect from today, July 30.
One of the major changes it is increasing the maximum permitted speed of highways 130 to 150 mph.

So far, only certain areas and in exceptional circumstances were allowed movement at such a speed - at least when the highway with 4 lanes for traffic in one direction and a CCTV (cameras CCTV).

With changes come new and amounts of the fines for speeding. Now for exceeding the maximum speed of 10 mph is already a fine of 155 euros, exceeded 40 to 60 mph fine is 500 euros (more than 130 so far) and termination of licenses for a period of 1 to 3 months .

Exceeding the maximum speed of more than 60 mph leads to a fine of 779 euros (with more than 229 so far), and disqualification for driving 6 to 12 months.

Changes repealed and the lowest possible level of alcohol in the blood of 0.5 ppm for drivers younger than 21 years, and for professional drivers of trucks, taxis and those of mass public transportation.
