Sets an eco- Trabant
Trabant successor should be, which spares the environment.
The International Motor Show in Frankfurt, which will be held from 17 to 27 September, will be presented a new version of the legendary model project to a consortium of companies, DPA quoted by BTA.
The new model will be presented as an electric car suitable for city and suburbs, argues Ronald Gershevski for DPA, Director of the Saxon company producing specialized avtomobili IndyCar, confirming information from the media.

The company is considering to launch more models on the market in 2012, notes Gershevski. So far, the plan provides for new cars to be produced with funds from the consortium without public funding.
Between 1975 and 1991 in Zwickau produced about 3 million Trabant. Although then-stroke car was faithful companion of the citizens of the GDR, it is not environmentally friendly enough. This shortcoming should be rectified in the successor model, DPA notes.
