Toyota expects sales growth for the first time this year
Japanese automobile giant Toyota (Toyota Motor Corp.) Published today forecast that the company sales are likely to increase in August, ITAR-TASS.
The last thirteen months considering Toyota’s sales decline under the impact of global economic crisis.
The company hopes mainly on its hybrid model Prius (Prius), whose popularity has been growing strongly, after Japanese government cut road tax for owners of environmentally sound cars.
Toyota some time ago published a report on drop in production during the first half of the year with 40.6 per cent. For six months of its conveyors went to 3 million cars.
The level of sales fell by 26.6 percent and automotive giant losses approached 437 billion yen (4.4 billion dollars), recalls the ITAR-TASS.
